Hello, my name is Victoria Weiss.

I am a 28 year old, certified beauty junkie living in NYC.  As the oldest of three girls, I grew up having a lot of 'guinea pigs' at my disposal to try out any new hair and makeup looks I was into at the time. I want to officially apologize to my little sisters for the powder blue drugstore eyeshadow and convincing you it was a good idea to let me cut your bangs.  We've come a long way.  

Now that I am older and, let's face it, making an adult income, I spend a lot of my spare time researching beauty brands, trialing new looks, religiously reading beauty articles, watching tutorials from makeup experts, and making weekly trips to cosmetics counters.  Since I'm more than happy to do most of the legwork, my friends and family often come to me for makeup and beauty recommendations (sometimes even calling me from Sephora for advice in real time). I get so excited and passionate talking about beauty that I figured I would take everyone's advice and turn my passion into a blog (feel free to insert eye roll here).  

By reviewing my favorite products on Victoria Explains it All, I hope to answer your questions about finding the best products and routines for your specific beauty needs. And to make this a proper introduction, I might as well tell you that my blog's name is an homage to my first, and last, acting debut on Nickelodeon's hit 90's show, Clarissa Explains It All, where I played Clarissa in a flashback to herself as a baby (I had no speaking parts but I did get a paycheck).  

I have a few products that I consider to be my makeup bag essentials, and of course new items always on rotation.  In my posts I will share my beauty reviews (and some self-deprecating stories about my life as a single, sometimes emotional, girl in the city) with you.  Enjoy!
